Who we are
Arokiyam means “health” in Tamil. Our collective raises awareness of mental and physical health in the Tamil community, openly and in both languages.
Awareness days, workshops, translated resources: we create spaces where generations meet, where people can ask their questions and learn about their rights.
Health is our treasure, prevention is our ally and solidarity is our strength.
What we do

Prevention days and workshops
Diabetes, heart health, early signs of cancer, women’s health: health professionals answer your questions, with Tamil interpretation.

Health rights
Access to care, barriers, discrimination: we share information on patients’ rights and support the campaigns that defend them.

Solidarity
In late 2025, together with the Jaffna Transgender Network, we launched a relief fundraiser after Cyclone Ditwah.
